Due high demand Viking Cruise line has announced that they are adding a third ship sailing from Valletta, Malta this summer.
Viking will have a the Viking Star joining the Viking Venus and the Viking Sea in the capital, Valletta, between July and October.
Vaccinated guests that are two weeks past their final shot can sail on the Star - 11-day itineraries with an overnight in Valletta and then visit Italy and Spain. The other two ships will visit Montenegro, Croatia and Greece.
For those looking to travel from the NY area- Viking has set up a non-stop flight to Malta.
Malta has many UNESCO sites and a very long history. Its an ideal destination with many cultural events, fine dinning,casinos,nightlife and beaches.
Malta has reached herd immunity ahead of its June 1 reopening. The country said 70% of adults have had at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 42% of the population is fully vaccinated. Malta was the first EU country to start vaccinating residents.
