Meet Susan Blume,CTC,VTA
My career started out as a part time job when I was 19 years old to make some extra money and help a family friend who owned a travel agency that was growing very quickly. The more I learned about travel and our guests the more I fell in love. Within a year I became a full-time employee on the corporate side of the business.
When my husband and I got married, he was a US Army Ranger stationed in Germany. Being part of a military family gave us an excellent chance to not only travel but also live in various locations and immerse ourselves in local life. With several years of experience as a travel advisor, I was able to immediately begin working as a travel agent for the military in Germany. Upon relocating to our next duty station, I became the assistant manager at the Officers Club, where I managed daily operations and events for over 500 guests. I have a love for cooking, hosting, entertaining, and engaging with people. After returning to the US, I aspired to open my own luxury travel agency to merge my expertise in travel and food/hospitality.
I enjoy traveling, savoring food and wine, and both cooking and dining.
My favorite pastime is anything related to glass, such as glass blowing, flame working, and glass fusing. For me, a perfect day would include visiting a vineyard and taking a glass blowing class there. After the class, I would treat myself to a wine and charcuterie tasting—I've experienced it before, and it was incredible!
Meet Mary Blume
Graduate of Garden City High School and School of Visual Arts, NY.Mary was born into the travel business and uses her creative background to enhance our guest experiences. Nearly a decade ago she passed the Travel Agent Proficiency Exam by The Travel Institute. Mary is certified by Disney Parks/Resorts and Disney Cruise Line, Universal Parks and Resorts, Marriott Resorts and Virgin Voyages.
My favorite pastime is needle point!!
