During my recent trip with the Romance Travel Forum, I had the chance to explore these new all-inclusive resorts. They offer a combination of adults-only and all-inclusive choices open to everyone.
All-inclusive resorts deliver excellent value, though they vary; some feature premium alcohol, 24-hour dining options, casinos, golf, excursions, and even certain spa treatments. Our goal is to provide our guests with the best options that match their lifestyle.
Moon Palace The Grand
I had the opportunity to preview Moon Palace The Grand, a reimagined realm of new all-inclusive luxury in Punta Cana. It boasts over 2,000 opulent rooms, more than 70 ocean-view swim-up suites, 19 gourmet dining venues, a comprehensive sports playground, a full-service spa, a vast waterpark featuring a lazy river, and an 18-hole Greg Norman Eco Signature Golf Course with its own restaurant.
The expansive lobby leads to a dining and shopping corridor that is unparalleled in the Caribbean. My favorite bar is a tropical oasis, highlighted by a grand grove of palm trees crafted from hand-blown glass made in Croatia. Dining choices range from Indian, Middle Eastern, French, Italian, Brazilian churrascaria, Japanese, sports bars, buffets, to Boulangerie, a 24-hour specialty coffee shop offering exquisite desserts that resemble small works of art.
Some rooms can accommodate up to five guests, making them perfect for families, and each room features a jacuzzi for two on the balcony. Some suites that are also swim-outs can accommodate up to seven guests. The resort is vast, so if you’re a traveler seeking an active vacation, this is the place for you, with so many activities that you'll need to stay at least six nights.
There are nine pools, some with swim-up bars, some exclusively for adults, set on a pristine white sand beach. Palace has one of the largest water park complexes in the Caribbean featuring a wave pool, slides, splash area for younger children, and a lazy river.
Evening entertainment options range from a nightclub and a lively 1920s-style speakeasy to a 1,200-seat theater that hosts full production stage shows.
Parts of the resort are still under construction, so the enchanted forest-themed children's area and some restaurants, such as the hibachi, seafood on the beach, and additional steakhouses, are not yet finished, but these are all things I am eager to experience on my next visit.
